Obsidian RobustoSize: 5.5" x 54
Humidor Condition: 68% @ 73°
Overview: This Cigar has a medium brown slightly rough and toothy wrapper with nice tight seams, and a medium thick veins. It has a firm and even pack with an even double cap. It has a woody almost minty and peppery aroma, a great humidor smell.
Review:
Initial Light: Great earthy tobacco taste with a perfect draw, pretty mild start and a short finish. Tons of smoke pouring off the foot.
First Third: As expected the body is up to a medium, with a good finish but not very much smoke output. However the smoke that is there is a perfectly thick, woody taste.
Second Third: Not much of a flavor change, but the smoke has greatly increased and super thick and chewy.
End: Still the same flavor as the first third but almost a full-body thickness, but with TONS of great thick smoke.
Last Comments: I like a bit more flavor transition when smoking, but that aside it was a pretty good smoke. Unfortunately I had to touch it up twice while smoking it which can be a number of factors. The best part is I was able to smoke it to the last inch without it getting too hot.
Rating: 6/10
Recommend it?
Its a good long smoke and if you don't mind little flavor transition its perfect for you
Smoke it again?
Wouldn't go buy a box of them but if I get one in a sampler or someone gives me one I would love to.
